MeloMance is a duo that was formed by alumni of the Department of Applied Music of Seoul Institute of The Arts and began their career with the release of the EP [Sentimental] in March 2015. MeloMance members, who have shown outstanding musical skills in keyboard and vocal since their school days, immediately gained popularity and became one of the most known duos in the Korean music scene. In 2017, the title track of the EP [Moonlight], "Gift", became a super hit that climbed to No.1 in the music chart, and remained as the TOP 10 for 20 consecutive weeks. Since then, MeloMance were ranking at the top of the music charts with such songs as "Deepen", "You", "Just Friends", and "Tale" which led their fans to create a ‘믿.듣.멜’ wordplay trend which means ‘MeloMance I trust and listen to’.

In addition to their albums, MeloMance has continued to engage in a wide range of music activities, including collaboration with TAEYEON and participation in many OSTs. They have shown steady popularity by winning the 'Best Indie' award of the Melon Music Awards for three consecutive years since 2017. In addition, MeloMance vocal Kim MinSeok showed an even wider musical spectrum as vocalist and songwriter through his solo album, while Chung DongHwan strengthened his position as a talented musician by working with many acclaimed artists as Kim DongRyul, Park HyoShin, Kim Bumsoo, and Jung SeungHwan.

서울예대 실용음악과 동창으로 결성된 멜로망스는 2015년 3월 EP [Sentimental]을 발매하며 활동을 시작했다. 학창시절부터 건반과 보컬에서 발군의 실력을 보여온 이들은 점차 대중성까지 탑재하며 공연과 음원에서 대세 듀오로 주목 받았다. 2017년, EP [Moonlight]의 타이틀곡인 ‘선물’이 Youtube를 통한 라이브 동영상 화제에 이어 음악프로그램 ‘유희열의 스케치북’ 출연까지 더해지며 역주행에 성공, 음원 차트 1위 올킬과 20주 연속 탑텐에 머무는 메머드급 히트를 거뒀다. 이후 ‘짙어져’, ‘You’, ‘욕심’, ‘동화’에 이르기까지 내놓는 노래마다 연달아 차트 정상에 오르며 ‘믿.듣.멜(믿고 듣는 멜로망스)라는 수식어를 얻기도 했다.

멜로망스는 본인들의 음반 외에도 태연과의 컬래버레이션, 미스터 션샤인을 비롯한 다수의 OST 참여 등 폭넓은 음악활동을 이어나갔고, 2017년부터 3년 연속 ‘멜론 뮤직 어워즈 인디 부문’을 수상하며 꾸준한 인기를 과시한 바 있다. 이 외에도 김민석은 본인의 송라이팅으로 가득 채운 솔로 앨범을 통해 보컬리스트 이상의 음악적 스펙트럼을 선보였고, 정동환은 김동률, 박효신, 김범수, 박정현, 폴킴, 정승환 등 선후배 아티스트들과 공연, 음반을 함께 작업하며 실력파 음악가으로의 입지를 공고히 했다.
